HISTORY
Students who reconstructed King of Space are all spring 2022 graduates of The Creative Media & Digital Culture (CMDC) Program. Founded in 1997 on the Vancouver campus of Washington State University as an interdisciplinary program that looks critically and responds creatively to issues relating to digital media, it will join the Department of Digital Technology & Culture (DTC) in fall 2022 but retain the CMDC name as its special option.

Along with a B.A. and a minor in Digital Technology & Culture, we also offer a Games Studies & Design certificate and sponsor the CMDCStudios, a game guild comprised of students, alums, and friends. In all cases, students are taught to conceptualize, in both research and practice, applications of digital technologies and to think critically about digital media and the ways humans interact and engage with them.
